FOR the first time in 2020, Minnie opened up about her brother Khosini Dlamini's death, revealing that she had been using work to distract herself from mourning Khosini and how the lockdown forced her to. "Having work to distract me was the biggest blessing but you can't run away from your problems forever,' she shared. "This lockdown has given me too much time to think especially about losing my brother...and I'm not coping. The pain is unbearable! I don't know what to do, kubuhlungu."
LOSING HER BROTHER
This year Minnie took to social media to pay tribute to her late brother whom is lost to a ruptured brain aneurysm. Khosini died on a Thursday afternoon in the hospital after being in ICU for 23 days. A brain aneurysm is a ballooning blood vessel in the brain. A brain aneurysm can rupture or leak and cause bleeding into the brain. Minnie shared a picture of her and her brother died and captioned it, "My Captain. The day you took your last flight is the day I died too."
TIME OF GRIEF
The pilot fought until his last days. In a statement by the family after his death, they said he died in a hospital. "He passed peacefully at the hospital, surrounded by the love of his family. In this time of grief, we ask for privacy and the opportunity to celebrate him." While still alive and fighting for his life. Minnie's parents, Jabulani and Queen Dlamini confirmed that he was seeking medical attention.
