Award winning actor Presley Chweneyagae is failing to support his son, who is now in grade 10. The mother ,Alletta Somfula from Kempton Park, East of Johannesburg, claims that Chweneyagae is failing as a father. "We met in 2005 and I got pregnant. I found out I was pregnant when he had gone the US for the Oscars. When he came back I told him I was pregnant. He even asked my uncles to alert his family that I was pregnant but his mother denied the child."

I DON'T WANT LOVE BACK

Somfula said she doesn't want him back but wants him to just take care of their son. ZiMoja is in possession of the documents that prove he is indeed the father of the 16 year old. "I hate him with a passion. I am a father and mother to his child. He is 16-years and the pressure from peers is overwhelming. I thought when Presley asked for a DNA, he was going to change but he is still the same. What irritates me the most is the fact that he is taking care of his other two kids. I don't want anything from him except for him to take responsibility for his son," she said fuming.

DISAPPOINTED IN  OUR COURTS

Somfula said that she had to take Chweneyagae, who is implicated in a R15 million lotto scandal, to three courts to force him to take care of his son but she hasn't been winning. " I have five court orders against him but he is not playing his part. I am not a bitter babymama but I want what is best for my child," she said, adding that the costs of raising the child are growing and she can no longer absorb them. "All he knows is to ask my parents for my child to visit him, when I am not around,  and not buy him anything," she said. She said that in 2007, she took The River actor to court in  Mafikeng  where Presley agreed to pay R300 a month for the child. "We did the DNA test on the same day. After two weeks the results came back and confirmed he is the father. He disappeared for years. I had to move the file to Tembisa in 2014 since I was working this side and he was staying in Pretoria.  He offered to support the child and pay R700. After that he gave me R1000 and that was it." Somfula said that last year November she moved the matter to Kempton Park and as it stands Presley owes R58 800 in maintenance.

EMPTY PROMISES

Somfula said  the actor once promised her son he was going to buy him a cellphone but he failed to do so. "The audacity of that man. I don't care if people judge me but I am fighting for my son. We are not on speaking terms and I am fine with it but people must know what their favourite is doing behind the scenes."   Chweneyagae did not comment.when confronted.
