Malome Vector takes Ambitiouz Records to court

Malome Vector

Ambitiouz Entertainment is at war with their former artist and Lesotho born rapper Malome Vector, over a song titled Ya Costa. Real name Bokang Malule, Malome Vector is now taking Ambitiouz Entertainment to court over his clearance.

THERE'S BEEF

The Nobody hitmaker dumped Ambitiouz last year following the exit of award winning group Blaq Diamond and Intaba Yase Dubai. The beef between Malome Vector and Ambitiouz came alive on Friday when he dropped a single titled Ya Costa, Ambitiouz also released the same song and claimed it as their own on Thursday night. "The problem with Ambitiouz owner (Kgosi Mahumapelo) is that he is trying by all means not to see every artist that has been on the stable move forward. Malome left because he felt neglected and not recognised by the company as they kept fighting Intaba YaseDubai and Blaq Diamond. He was poorly marketed and at the same time he felt that the company should have used all the money and resources to take him to another level," an insider said.

COURT BATTLE

The source further confirmed that the company was ready to take Malome Vector to court over the breach of contract. "The situation of Malome Vector is the same thing as Dubai. He left the label before his contract was over, he has been releasing music on his own. Now they are fighting for a song because he had been promoting the song. Kgosi decided to release it first via Ambitiouz Entertainment and this did not sit well with Malome Vector, " the source said. When Malome Vector was contacted, he refused to comment saying, "My lawyer is handling my affairs. He advised me not to say anything regarding this matter as it might jeopardise our case," he said before he hung up. Malome Vector is not the first artist to be embroiled in a bitter court battle as Ambitiouz has taken award winning rapper Emtee, award winning singer Sjava, award winning group Blaq Diamond and Intaba Yase Dubai to court over a breach of contracts. All artists left on a bitter note as all of them were unhappy over financial issues.Rapper Fifi Cooper is still trying to find her feet after she left the stable unhappy too. ZiMoja called and sent Kgosi questions but he blue ticked ZiMoja.
