Former Bafana Bafana star Pollen Ndlanya is said to be bedridden and unfortunately, fighting for his life. The soccer star, fondly known as Trompies, during his heyday at Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana Bafana vanished under the radar since the beginning of this year. A source, close to Trompies, told Zimoja that he vanished from the public eye due to health complications.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        "He his currently behind closed doors at his home in Daveyton trying to regain fitness after a massive weight loss. He lost everything from being a millionaire to becoming a beggar. It's unfortunate that they could use their influence but they don't and end up like this," said source.

LIFE ON THE FAST LANE?

Another source said that Trompies' life on the fast lane finally caught up with him and that his current situation is a wake up call.                                                                "He was a party animal and attracted to beautiful women to sustain his dusted image as a former footballer player, now he's nowhere to be seen at his regular partying spots due to his health issues". Zimoja made contact with the former star and all he said was, "Mnx!"

A GLAMOUR BOY

According to the Kaizer Chiefs website, "Pollen Dumisani Ndlanya had three spells with the club having joined in the 90s as a teenager. It was on his second spell at the Club having played for Manning Rangers that he established his name at Kaizer Chiefs. He was a hero as the Glamour Boys won the Rothmans Cup back in 1997 after a penalty shootout against Mamelodi Sundowns.
