TV personality Minnie Dlamini is testimony that when one door closes, another one opens. This week, she announced that DStv was canning Homeground, a sports lifestyle show, she was part of for five years. Despite her personal life and her split from her husband dominating this year, she is making big moves with yet another major career move. The media personality and powerhouse businesswoman Minnie Dlamini yesterday Dlamini announced her latest venture. She has acquired a part ownership luxury venue, The Mansion.
A RESTAURANT AND NIGHTCLUB OWNER
Officially set to open its door this week, the Centurion based restaurant and night club will target a young affluent African market in the surrounding areas. According to the star, it will offer thee ultimate summer experience. The luxurious, slick and elegant hangout spot will serve delectable food, an endless selection of premium drinks with the coolest trendy music in the background.
Ranging from hip hop to Amapiano and also R&B, the venue will host a series of different themed party nights from Thursday to Sunday and will be open sevens days a week. With plans to make The Mansion the new favourite go-to spot Minnie Dlamini affirms, "We are here to create an unforgettable experience for an ever changing young emerging market. Curated with just the right balance of great good , flawless service and a fresh offering of the coolest music right now, we plan to take the scene by storm. AN ENTREPRENEUR AT HEART
Besides a colourful career on TV and radio, Minnie has is not new to business. Her TV Production company called Beautiful Day is already making waves. In 2019 Dlamini decided to branch into a skincare market by launching her skincare product called MD (Minnie Dlamini) skin care.The product range comes into three range variants: Cocoa Crystal, Rose Quartz and Tropical Topaz. She has always balanced her TV career with her entrepreneurial journey, having started in the TV space while she was studying at the University of Cape Town. Dlamini was a presenter for LIVE on 16 June 2010, after she made her debut screen appearance while covering the Youth Day and World Cup celebrations. She later co-hosted Mzansi Insider, a lifestyle show. In 2012, she resigned from the show in order to pursue a career in acting. In 2013, Minnie switched to sports broadcasting by co-hosting Soccer Zone with Thomas Mlambo, until in 2016 .She has co-hosted several local and international award ceremonies, including the 14th Metro FM Music Awards and the 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, amongst many.
