Music producer Sello "Chicco" Twala didn't only trend this week on social media for visiting the family of the late Senzo Meyiwa in Umlazi, Durban, on Saturday afternoon. Chicco also let the cat out of the bag when he mentioned, in an SABC interview on Tuesday, that the person who arranged for him to meet with Senzo's mother, Ntombifuthi Meyiwa, was journalist Zakhele Shiba.

It was the best kept secret that Shiba was doing a documentary about the life of the late Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper and captain.
Twala alluded that his condition to grant an interview to Shiba and his team, was for him to arrange for him to go to Umlazi. That would also mean Shiba would also be able to interview his son Longwe Twala.
Longwe was in the house when Senzo was killed at his Kelly Khumalo's mother's house in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni. Senzo and Kelly were involved at the time of the tragedy and Longwe was said to be romantically involved with singer Zandi Khumalo.
Zandi is the younger sister of Kelly Khumalo. Kelly, Zandi, and their mother, Longwe and two of Senzo's best friends, Mthokozisi Twala and Tumelo Madlala, both from Durban, were all in the house when Senzo died but they still maintain their innocence that they didn't kill Senzo.

FACILITATING  A MEETING

Shiba said, "I decided to focus on the people who were in the house who all form part of the second docket. I spoke to some of them and the Meyiwa family. The second docket was opened by the police after they read statements on the Twitter account by Man's Not Barry Roux. " He adds, "Let's wait until the documentary is released,
He admitted facilitating a meeting between Chicco and Mrs Meyiwa., after he had spoken to Senzo's elder brother, Sifiso Meyiwa.
What happened in Umlazi will be known when the documentary is released.
Shiba spoke to several people who were not included in the Netflix documentary shown early this year.
"The reason we are focusing on the second docket, which shows that there are many holes in the investigation of the Senzo case. The documentary will reveal all that," said Shiba.
