Rapper and business man Cassper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo has revealed that he will not attending fellow rapper Kiernan 'AKA' Forbes's funeral as he will be out of the country for work. AKA was shot dead outside Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban along his long time friend and former manager, chef Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane last week Friday.

NOT ATTENDING THE FUNERAL

Cassper Nyovest said he will not be able to attend both AKA's memorial service and funeral which will be held on Friday and Saturday respectively. "Unfortunately I'll be out of the country for work but if I was around I would've gone. I would've gone to the funeral too. No matter how you look at it, me and Kiernan shared a lot of great moments together and he contributed to my industry so I have to pay my respects." he posted on his social media accounts.

 HIP HOP BEEF 

The rappers beef dates back to 2014 when AKA claimed at the time that he was provoked by the things Cassper was saying on social media. Their beef started with a deleted tweet where Cassper claimed that his song "Doc Shebeleza" was the biggest song in South African hip-hop. In 2015, AKA, when promoting his new single "Congratulate," he took to twitter throwing shade at Casper. In 2015 Cassper accused AKA of slapping him, and this was filled with diss tracks from both artists. In 2017 Cassper declined AKA's offer to perform at his #FillUpTheDome concert. In 2019 AKA is said to have wanted to beat up Cassper at his  'Touch My Blood' after party.

BEEFING UP SECURITY

Cassper recently revealed that he is beefing his security after the murder of his friend DJ Sumbody's  murder last year in November. DJ Sumbody was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Johannesburg. No one has been arrested for his murder and the police says they are still investigating. A week ago, ZiMoja reported that Cassper said he has been ignorant for a very long time and DJ Sumbody's death made him realise that he was not safe.   "Someone was so insensitive and sent me pictures of Sumbody's body in the car after he was gunned down. I only saw parts of the picture and closed it once I realised what it was. I couldn't bear to see him in that light.'he tweeted. It's not safe, man. His death really f%&ked me up,' he says. Cassper drives a Bentley, lives in a mansion and always wearing expensive brand. "I am always walking around with expensive jewellery. I can't afford to put my life at risk and tempt people,' he said.
