Black Coffee launches food bank

Black Coffee donated food parcels to the needy in the Eastern Cape

Christmas came early for the people of Mthatha in the Eastern Cape after the international multi award-winning producer Black Coffee donated food to needy families. Real name Nkosinathi Maphumulo, Black Coffe further launched the Black Coffee Food Banks which will donate food to needy people in Mthatha and the surrounding areas. The Black Coffee Food Bank donated food to 100 needy families and three NPO's, Ngangelizwe., Qweqwe and Zimbane.

BACK TO HIS ROOTS

CEO of Black Coffe Foundation Lungi Maphumulo said that his brother Black Coffee was giving back to the community because of his past experiences.
" We are concentrating on mostly rural areas because that is where we believe we will find disadvantaged families. The reason we started this Black Coffe Food Bank is because Black Coffee grew up here in Mthatha. He got to experience the problems faced by the communities of Mthatha and that is why we decided to donate food as no one must go to bed hungry. We  believe that every family must have a good Christmas like all families," she said.

HOME COMING

Lungi further told Zimoja that Black Coffee will perform in Mthatha stadium tomorrow at the first annual Black Home Coming."As they say charity begins at home so this initiative is very close to his heart. We are all about improving the lives of the needy people. We want to teach people that each one must help one another for people to have a better tomorrow. Nobody must go to bed on an empty stomach," she said.
